RECLASSIFICATION OF WAR LOAN DEPOSITARIES

To the War Loan Depositary Bank Addressed:
The Treasury Department has authorized and requested this bank to
reclassify War Loan depositaries into the following two groups as of March
20, 1948:
Group A—All depositaries having balances of $100,000 or less at the
close of business March 20, 1948,
Group B—All depositaries having balances of more than $100,000 at
the close of business March 20, 1948
The new classifications, based upon balances in War Loan accounts as
shown by the books of the Federal Reserve banks on March 20, will govern
the grouping of the depositaries until further notice, notwithstanding any
subsequent increases or decreases in such deposit balances.
Yours very truly,
R. R. GILBERT
President
