W ALLACE DALLAS, TEXAS 75222 FIRST VIC E P R ES ID EN T AND CHIEF O PER ATING O FFIC ER December 1, 1987 Circular 87-85 TO: The Chief Operations Officer of all financial institutions in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District SUBJECT Changes to the RCPC check services in the Dallas office territory DETAILS Effective January 1, 1988, the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas will introduce an RCPC group sort service that will include 109 financial institutions in the Dallas RCPC territory. The deposit deadline for the new service will be 3:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. In conjunction with the implementation of the group sort, the fine sort deadline for institutions included in the group sort will be extended from 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. The fee per item deposited in group sort cash letters will be 2.5 cents for Eleventh District depositors with a $1.00 fee for each cash letter deposited. There will be no change in the fine sort fees. By extending our deposit deadline to several RCPC institutions, availability will be improved for depositing institutions that cannot meet our 12:01 a.m. unsorted or 1:15 a.m. premium unsorted deadlines.
