Circular No. 81-182
September 16, 1981

TO ALL FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS IN THE
ELEVENTH FEDERAL RESERVE DISTRICT:
Recently, we announced a Federal Reserve System Policy, to be
effective September 15, to charge payor institutions for cash letters presented
on weekdays those institutions close.
Since that announcement, many comments have been received from
institutions in this District and the System regarding the policy. Accordingly,
it has been decided to delay implementation of the policy to allow time for
consideration of the comments. Institutions who have provided comments
should be assured that each will be objectively considered.
Questions concerning this circular should be directed to Larry M.

Sincerely yours,

William H. Wallace
