TEXAS 75222 Circular No. 70-7^ March 20, 1970 To All Banks in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: To assist during the current postal situation, this Bank and its Branches will be glad to receive sealed packages of checks addressed to Federal Reserve Banks or commercial banks in a city in which a Federal Reserve Bank is located and the post office facilities are closed. Such sealed packages will be delivered to a responsible carrier for forwarding. When the addressee is not a Federal Reserve Bank, the items in the sealed packages should not be considered as accepted for collection. Under current conditions, delays in payment or return of unpaid items should be expected. Should you have problems with shipments not covered above, please call Vice President Tony J. Salvaggio at the Head Office, or any officer at the El Paso, Houston or San Antonio Branches.
