F e d e r a l R e s e r v e B a n k OF DALLAS Dallas, Texas, November 3, 1953 PAP E R C U R R E N CY E X H IB IT To Member Banks o f the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: During the past four years the paper currency exhibit of this bank has been displayed in a large number of member banks in this District. Comments from the bankers who have displayed the exhibit indicate that it has received very favorable public reaction. In view of the strong demand that has prevailed for the exhibit, we have not felt until recently that we could make repeat reservations for the display. Now that most of the initial demand has been satisfied, however, the exhibit is more readily available than has been the case in the past. Consequently, we are again bringing the matter to your attention, with the thought that there may be member banks which would like to arrange repeat displays. The usual time allotted for display of the exhibit is about one week. The exhibit, which represents every type of paper currency used in the United States since 1772, is arranged in 15 frames, each of which is about 22 inches square. A small supply of brochures on the subject of United States paper currency is provided with the exhibit. All expenses in connection with the shipment of the exhibit to and from member banks and all risk of loss are borne by this bank. We only request that member banks give the exhibit the same care that they would give to their own property.
