D epartment of A g r i c u l t u r e , Food a nd Nutrition S e r v ic e , that effective March 1, 1975, a new s e r i e s of food stamps will be i n tr o d u c e d . T h e new s e r i e s eliminate s the 50C and $2 coupons and in tr o d u c e s $1 and $10 coupons and a newly d e s ig n e d $5 coupon. T he new d e s i g n will in clud e a color change: $1 - b row n ; $5 p u r p le ; $10 - b l u e - g r e e n . A pam p h let en titled " In tro d u c in g the New Food Stamp S e rie s " is to be s en t to all b a n k s by the U . S . D ep artm en t of A g r i c u l t u r e , Food and Nutrition S e r v ic e , in the n e a r f u t u r e . As in the p a s t, to allow b e tte r control and fa s te r h a n d l i n g , the p r o c e d u r e utilized in p r e p a r i n g the o ld - s t y l e coupons for transm ittal to th is Bank o r its B ra n c h e s for p aym ent should be followed e x c e p t for the following c h ang e s: 1. T r a n s m it n e w - s t y l e coupons on Form MAIL-57. A su p p ly of th e s e new forms will be s e n t to you u n d e r s e p a r a te c o v e r . 2.
