Interest Rate Messages

ELEVENTH FEDERAL RESERVE D IS T R IC T:
T h e Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas now has operable a tape recording
to communicate to the financial institutions and pub lic throughout the Eleventh
Federal Reserve D is tric t the c u rre n t ceiling rates for the 26-w eek money m arket
CDs and the 2 1/ 2 - y e a r o r more small saver CDs; the 3- and 6-month T re a s u ry
b ill rates; and the Federal Reserve discount rate. T h e recorded message may be
reached by callin g (214) 651-6177. T h is message w ill be revised e v e ry Monday
evening (norm ally by 5: 45 p . m . ) to reflect the new rates that become effective
each Tuesday for the money m arket CDs and T re a s u r y b ills and e ve ry other
Tuesday for the small saver CDs.
Additional m etrolines and out-o f-state and intrastate WATS lines to
access the recorded message w ill be installed in the near fu tu re . You w ill be
advised of these additional telephone num bers as soon as they are availab le.
When ap p lic a b le , a separate telephone recording w ill be available
concerning the periodic securities offerings to be made at this Bank on behalf
of the T re a s u r y Departm ent. T h e telephone num ber to access this recording is
