FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF DALLAS Dallas, Texas, December 26, 1940 To the Member Bank Addressed: Wednesday, January 1, New Year’s Day, will be observed as a holiday by this bank and its branches, as well as by all other Federal Reserve banks and their branches. Inaugural Day, Monday, January 20, is a legal holiday in the District of Columbia, and while the offices of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System will be closed, the telegraph office will be open and transit clearing wires for January 18 will be dispatched as usual.
