Dallas, Texas, April 14,1952

To the Member and Nonmember Clearing Banks
of the Eleventh Federal Reserve District:
We are informed that flood conditions in some areas of the
Seventh, Ninth, and Tenth Federal Reserve Districts have inter
rupted transportation and communication facilities. As a conse
quence, the return of some unpaid items and notices of nonpay
ment of cash items may be delayed until normal conditions are
restored.
We are continuing to give credit in accordance with our time
schedule for cash items payable in the affected areas, but advice
of nonpayment and return of unpaid items may be delayed. We
are transmitting this information to you for your guidance in
connection with any cash items you may have which are payable
in the affected areas.
Yours very truly,
R. R. GILBERT
President
