FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF D ALLAS Dallas, Texas, March 5, 1947 To the Member and Nonmember Clearing Banks in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: This bank has been advised that the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, including its Buffalo Branch, will be closed on Saturdays, beginning April 5, 1947, pursuant to existing stat utes permitting such closing. Due consideration should be given to the Saturday closing referred to with respect to transfers of funds to and from banks in the New York District. Attention is also called to the fact that these Saturday closings will result in a delay in the presentation of cash and non-cash items and in the advice of dishonor and return of items payable in the Second Federal Reserve District. Yours very truly, R. R. GILBERT President This publication was digitized and made available by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas' Historical Library (FedHistory@dal.frb.org)
