FEDERAL RESERVE BANK O F DALLAS Dallas, Texas, August 23, 1943 To the Member Bank Addressed: We are advised by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Sys tem that all Federal Reserve banks and branches will be closed on Monday, September 6, Labor Day, except the following: Charlotte Atlanta Little Rock Birmingham Jacksonville Nashville New Orleans We are also advised that Labor Day is not a legal holiday in the State of Georgia. We are further advised that Thursday, September 9, Admission Day, is a legal holiday in the State of California. However, in view of the opening of the Third War Loan Drive on that day, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and its Los Angeles Branch will be open to accept subscriptions. Other departments will not be open. In observance of Defenders Day in Maryland which falls on Sunday, the Baltimore Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond will be closed on Monday, September 13, except for fiscal agency transactions.
