F ederal reserve Ba n k OF DALLAS Dallas, Texas, February 24,1945 To the Member Banks of the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: We are advised that the following holidays will be observed by Federal Reserve banks and branches during the month of March: March 2 (Friday) Dallas El Paso Houston San Antonio March 26 (Monday) Baltimore* March 30 (Friday) Pittsburgh Baltimore* Jacksonville Nashville New Orleans Chicago Memphis Minneapolis Texas Independence Day Maryland Day, Sunday, March 25 Good Friday *Except for fiscal agency operations. We are further advised that on the dates given above, the offices concerned will not participate in the Interdistrict Settlement Fund clearing. Please include credits for the offices affected on each of the holidays with your credits for the following business day. We are also advised that on March 30, the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, while open during regular business hours, will not participate in the Interdistrict SettleĀ ment Fund clearing or function any book entries. While Thursday, March 15, anniversary of the birth of Andrew Jackson, is a legal holiday in the State of Tennessee, we are advised that the Nashville branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and the Memphis branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis will be open for business on that day. It is customary for the governor of the State of Utah to designate a date between March 1 and April 15 of each year to be observed as Arbor Day in that state. Advice will be furnished as soon as information regarding the issuance of such a proclamation is received.
