F ederal R eserve Ban k O F D ALLAS Dallas, Texas, February 14, 1947 To the Member and Nonmember Clearing Banks in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: This bank has been advised that the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, consistent with the action of the member banks of the Boston Clearing House Association, will be closed on Saturdays, beginning March 8, 1947, pursuant to existing statutes permit ting such closing. Due consideration should be given to the Saturday closing re ferred to with respect to transfers of funds to and from banks in the Boston District. Attention is also called to the fact that these Saturday closings will result in a delay in the presentation of cash and non-cash items and in the advice of dishonor and return of items payable in the area affected.
