Elimination of Country Group Sort Check Deposit Option in Dallas
DETAILS

Beginning October 1, 1990, the Dallas Office of the Federal Reserve
Bank of Dallas will no longer accept country group sort cash letters from
financial institutions. All items deposited in country group sort cash
letters on or after October 1 will be processed and priced (2.6 cents per
item) as unsorted country cash letter items. The deposit deadline (5:00 p.m.
Sunday and 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday) and cash letter fee ($1.00 for
intradistrict depositors and $2.50 for interdistrict depositors) for unsorted
country cash letters are currently the same as those for country group sort
cash letters and will not change.
