HOLCOMB DALLAS, TEXAS FIRST VICE PR ESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER 75265-5906 August 10, 1998 Notice 98-71 TO: The Chief Operating Officer of each financial institution and others concerned in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District SUBJECT Eleventh District Holiday Schedule DETAILS This Bank and its Branches at El Paso, Houston, and San Antonio, Texas, will not be open on the following holidays in 1999: January 1, New Year’s Day January 18, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day February 15, Presidents Day May 31, Memorial Day July 5, Independence Day September 6, Labor Day October 11, Columbus Day November 11, Veterans Day November 25, Thanksgiving Day The Federal Reserve standard holiday schedule mandates that if January 1, July 4, November 11, or December 25 falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be observed as a holiday. If January 1, July 4, November 11, or December 25 occurs on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will not be observed as a holiday. Because December 25, 1998, falls on a Saturday, Friday, December 24, 1998, will not be observed as a holiday by this Bank. Please note, however, that because July 4, 1999, falls on a Sunday, the following Monday, July 5, 1999, will be observed as a holiday by this Reserve Bank. Please file this notice for your reference. Individual notices of the holidays listed above will not be sent.
