Consequently, this Bank and its Branches at El Paso, Houston and San Antonio, will observe the following holidays in 1987 and will not be open on the dates indicated below: Thursday, January 1 Monday, January 19 Monday, February 16 Monday, May 25 Monday, September 7 Monday, October 12 Wednesday, November 11 Thursday, November 26 Friday, December 25 A recent amendment to Regulation J of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System provides a special rule concerning a day which falls during a weekend but would have been a holiday had it fallen during the work week. If the day falls on Sunday, the following Monday is to serve as the holiday. However, if the day falls on a Saturday, this Bank will not close for the holiday on the preceding Friday. Because July 4, 1987, faTTs on a Saturday, July 3, 1987, will not be a holiday for this Reserve Bank. Under current law most commercial banks in this District are scheduled to have a holiday on July 3, 1987.
