ELECTION OF D IR E C T O R S TO THE MEMBER BANK ADDRESSED: As advised in Circular No. 22 of October 15th, I enclose herewith, for your information, a list of candidates for Class A Director and Class B Director, with the names of the banks by which nomi nated. There is also enclosed, for the use of banks in Groups 1 and 3 which have designated an official to vote for them, a preferential ballot containing the name of the nominee of the respective groups. The ballot is self-explanatory. Please see that it is executed in strict accordance with instructions thereon. The designation of an official to cast your vote continues in effect until revoked by your Board of Directors and if a previous authorization has been made your bank is entitled to vote, regardless of whether the designation was made in the present election or previously. The polls open on Tuesday, November 18th, and ballots received for 15 days thereafter, or up to and including December 2nd, will be counted. To correct an apparent misunderstanding from the reading of paragraph seven of Circular No. 22, you are advised that all banks in Groups 1 and 3 are entitled to vote, provided an official designation has been made, regardless of whether they made a nomination or not. It is hoped, therefore, that the banks will exercise their privilege in this regard. The result of the election will be announced on December 4th. Respectfully, Chairman of the Board.
