DETAILS

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System approved ac tion
by the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas to decrease by
one h a l f of one percent the basic discount r a t e . The r a t e s for temporary
seasonal c r e d i t and oth er extended c r e d i t also were decreased by one h a l f of
one percent. These r u lin g s become e f f e c t i v e March 7, 1986.
P rinted on the re verse of t h i s c i r c u l a r is a copy of Supplement A to
B u l l e t i n 2 which contains the c u r r e n t r a t e schedule in e f f e c t a t t h i s Bank.
This supplement should be i n s e r t e d in Volume 1 of the Regulations Binders and
the supplement dated May 20, 1985 should be removed.

2 At the discretion of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, in cases w here credit is anticipated
to be outstanding for prolonged periods and in relatively large amounts, the time period for
each ra te in the extended credit ra te structure may be shortened. This Bank also may apply
a flexible ra te th a t takes into account ra te s on m arket sources of funds. The flexible ra te will
not be lower than the basic ra te plus one percentage point.
