FEDERAL RESERVE BANK
OF DALLAS

September 28, 1932

To the Member Bank Addressed :

It is with sincere regret that I announce the death in San Diego, Cali
fornia, September 27, 1932, of Mr. J. J. Culbertson, Class B Director of
this bank, representing member banks in Group 3.
Mr. Culbertson was the only member of our Board of Directors who
had served continuously since the establishment of the Federal Reserve
Bank of Dallas on November 16, 1914. No one has shown more intense loy
alty to the interests of this bank and the banking, commercial, and agri
cultural activities of this district than Mr. Culbertson.
The members of the Board of Directors of thd Federal Reserve Bank
of Dallas have long valued Mr. Culbertson’s seasoned counsel and advice,
the result of his extensive business experience and success in many under
takings. He will be greatly missed by the entire personnel of this bank.

Very truly yours,

Chairman of the Board
