T E X A S December 15, 1948 To the Member and Nonmember Clearing Banks of the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: Reference is made to our circular letters of April 28, 1948, and June 1, 1948, relating to the observance of daylight saving time by several Federal Reserve banks and branches. For your information, we have been advised by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco that daylight saving time will end in California on January 1, 1949, pursuant to action taken by the governor, and that the San Francisco and Los Angeles offices of that bank will operate under Pacific Standard Time beginning January 3, 1949.
