SUBJECT
Consumer Advisory Council Meeting
DETAILS
The Federal Reserve Board announced today that its Consumer Advisory
Council will hold its next meeting on June 28. The meeting will be in Dining
Room E on the Terrace level of the Martin Building, Twentieth and C Streets,
Northwest, Washington, D.C. The session will begin at 9:00 a.m. and is open to
the public.
The Council’s function is to advise the Board on the exercise of the
Board’s responsibilities under the Consumer Credit Protection Act and on other
matters on which the Board seeks its advice.
In addition to the following
matters, reports by committees and other matters previously considered by the
Council or initiated by the Council members may be discussed:

Mortgage Lending

*

Affordable Housing

*

Fair Credit Reporting

*

Electronic Delivery of Government Benefits

*

Expedited Funds Availability

Persons wishing to submit to the Council their views regarding any of
the above topics may do so by sending written statements to Ann Marie Bray,
Secretary, Consumer Advisory Council, Division of Consumer and Community
Affairs, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, Washington, D.C.
20551. Comments must be received by June 26 and must be of a quality suitable
for reproduction.
