COIN WRAPPING SERVICE
(Changes in Billing Procedure and Charge)

TO ALL DEPOSITORY INSTITUTIONS IN THE
HEAD OFFICE TERRITORY OF THE
ELEVENTH FEDERAL RESERVE DISTRICT:
Earlier this year, the Federal Reserve Bank o f Dallas announced the
availabaility of a new coin wrapping service. In order to improve the efficien cy of
the service, a new billing procedure will be instituted.
E ffectiv e January 3, 1983, the contract carrier for wrapping will bill
directly for wrapped coin ordered from the Federal R eserve.
Each endpoint
receiving wrapped coin will be billed monthly based on the per roll charge.
The change to the billing procedure allows a reduction in the per roll
charge for wrapped coin. The charge will be reduced from 3.7 cents per roll to
3.1 cents per roll.
