RESERVE BANK OF DALLAS F IS C A L A G E N T O F TH E U N ITE D S T A T E S Dallas, Texas, August 24,1944 CLOSING OF SUBSCRIPTION BOOKS FOR CURRENT EXCHANGE OFFERINGS To All Banking Institutions, and Others Concerned, in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: The Secretary of the Treasury has announced that the subscription books for the current exchange offerings of % % Treasury Certificates of Indebtedness of Series F-1945 and 1% Treasury Notes of Series A-1946 will close at the close of business Saturday, August 26,1944. As outlined in our circular letter of August 23, the offering of % % Treasury Certificates of Indebtedness of Series F-1945 is open to holders of Treasury Certificates of Indebtedness of Series E-1944, maturing Septem ber 1, and the offering of 1% Treasury Notes of Series A-1946 is open to holders of Treasury Notes of Series C-1944 or Treasury Notes of Series D-1944, both of which mature September 15. Subscriptions addressed to a Federal Reserve bank or branch, or to the Treasury Department, and placed in the mail before twelve o’clock mid night Saturday, August 26, will be considered as timely subscriptions.
