FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF DALLAS FISCAL AGENT O F THE UNITED STATES Dallas, Texas, October 7, 1947 CLOSING OF SUBSCRIPTION BOOKS FOR THE 2 V2 % TREASURY BONDS, INVESTMENT SERIES A-1965 To All Banking Institutions, and Others Concerned, in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: There is quoted below a press statement issued today by Secretary of the Treasury Snyder: “The Secretary of the Treasury announced today that the subscrip tion books for the current offering of 21/£% per cent Treasury Bonds, Investment Series A-1965, will close at the close of business Wednes day, October 8, 1947. “Subscriptions addressed to a Federal Reserve bank or branch or to the Treasury Department, and placed in the mail before midnight of October 8 will be considered as having been entered before the close of the subscription books. “Announcement of the amount of subscriptions and their division among the several Federal Reserve districts will be made later.” Subscriptions addressed to this bank or appropriate branch and placed in the mail before midnight Wednesday, October 8, will be considered as timely subscriptions.
