F e d e r a l R e s e r v e Ba n k of Dallas DALLAS, TEXAS 75222 Circular No. 70-1 January 2, 1970 To the Member Banks in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: CHECKS DRAWN ON GEORGIA BANKS We have been informed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta that, effective January 1, 1970, checks drawn on all banks located in the State of Georgia may be cleared through the Federal Reserve System. This was made possible by action of the 1969 Georgia State Legislature providing for par clearance. Until present check supplies are exhausted, many of the checks drawn on these banks will continue to bear the magnetic ink routing symbol 9064. Newly printed checks will bear routing symbol 06l2. Items printed with either of these numbers may be included in your cash letters to this office or in direct-sent cash letters to the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Yours very truly, P. E. Coldwell President This publication was digitized and made available by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas' Historical Library (FedHistory@dal.frb.org)
