ANNOUNCEMENT

To the Member Banks of the
Eleventh Federal Reserve District:
I am pleased to announce that at a recent meeting of our board of
directors, Dr. James C. Dolley, of Austin, Texas, was appointed to serve as
Economic Adviser to the bank. Dr. Dolley has been connected with the
University of Texas for about fifteen years, and will divide his time between
the bank and the University.
The research activities of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas are being
materially expanded in order to better serve the member banks and busiĀ
ness interests of the Eleventh Federal Reserve District. A similar program
of expansion is being undertaken throughout the Federal Reserve System.
Dr. Dolley has assumed his new duties and will collaborate with Morgan
H. Rice, who for many years has directed the research work of the bank.

Yours very truly,
R. R. GILBERT
President
