TEXAS 75222 Circular No. 71-290 December l6, 1971 AMENDMENT TO REGULATION Z (Treatment of Leap Year) POSTPONEMENT OF HEARING DATE - REGULATION Y (Armored Car or Courier Services) To All Banks, Other Creditors, and Others Concerned in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System issued, effective December 31> 1971> an amendment to Section 226.6 of Regulation Z by adding a new paragraph (l) which will permit creditors to ignore any variance in terms which occurs as a result of leap year. A copy of the amendment is printed on the reverse. On November 29, 1971* there was transmitted to you under Circular No. 71-28^- a proposed amendment to Regulation Y to permit bank holding companies to engage in armored car or courier services. In a subsequent action the Board has post poned, until January 19, 1972, a hearing to consider the issues involved in this proposal. Yours very truly, P. E.
