F ederal reserve Bank O F DALLAS Dallas, Texas, September 3, 1949 FORTY-HOUR FIVE-DAY WORK WEEK To the Member Banks o f the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: Effective September 12, 1949, this bank and its branches at El Paso, Houston, and San Antonio will operate on a fortyhour five-day work week basis. However, by means of rotating assignments, these offices will be open every business day as at present, and our services to member banks and to the public will not be curtailed. You are being notified of this arrangement so you will know that the facilities of this bank and its branches will con tinue to be available for use on any business day as in the past.
