NATIONAL MONETARY COMMISSION. MARCH 15, 1912. It has been decided that the Report of the National Monetary Commission, together with the Preliminary Plans submitted by the Chairman in January, 1911, and December, 1911, be included in volume 1 with the Interviews on Banking in Europe. Pursuant to this purpose, a new titlepage for volume 1 has been prepared and is inclosed, together with the three documents mentioned. It is suggested that the "Tabular Summary of the Laws, Practices, and Statistics of the Principal Banks of the Leading Countries" (2 sheets), which is also inclosed, should be attached to the inside of the cover of volume 23, "Financial Diagrams" (Senate Document No. 509). In connection therewith a new title-page for this volume has been prepared, of which a copy is also inclosed. These rearrangements will obviate the necessity of volume 24, listed in a former circular, and for which a provisional title-page was distributed. The following arrangement of the publications of the National Monetary Commission brings together related material as nearly as practicable into volumes of uniform size: Vol. 1—Senate Documents Nos. 243 and 405. This plan of consolidation is being followed by the Commission in preparing the publications for its use, and the title-pages are sent on the assumption that those who have heretofore received sets of its publications may desire a scheme of arrangement to follow in binding their sets.
