The Office of Management and Budget today issued the 1987
schedule of release dates for principal Federal economic
indicators.
Principal Federal economic indicators are compiled, released, and
periodically evaluated in accordance with procedures established
in OMB Statistical Policy Directive No. 3. The release
procedures require each agency issuing principal economic
indicators to provide its schedule for the upcoming calendar year
to OMB by December 15th. Agencies may make changes in the
schedule only if special, unforeseen circumstances make it
necessary. The releasing agency must announce and explain any
such schedule changes as soon as it has determined they are
unavoidable.
Each agency that issues principal economic indicators maintains
an office that can provide the release schedule of all the
agency's indicators. The telephone numbers for those offices
are:

In accordance with Directive No. 3, each release of a principal
economic indicator will contain an announcement of the time and
date of the next release. The last release in the calendar year
will contain a schedule for the next calendar year.
