Eighth Federal Reserve D istrict:

The Little Rock Branch of this bank will be closed for all activities on
Saturday, Jan u ary 2. 1954. It is normally closed on Saturdays but oper­
ates its Check Collection D epartm ent. The Check Collection D epartm ent
of the Little Rock Branch will not operate on the Saturday mentioned.
The St. Louis office will operate its Check Collection Departm ent on
Saturday, January 2. The Louisville and Memphis Branches will be open
for business on th a t day.
Member banks located in the zone served by the Little Rock Branch
may treat Saturday, Jan u ary 2. as a business day in calculating the
availability of cash letters consisting of deferred credit cash items which
the Little Rock Branch rec eiv es and handles on December 31. Direct
sending member banks m ay also count January 2 as a business day in
calculating the availability of cash letters forwarded on December 31
to other Federal Reserve banks and branches.
