ABSTRACT: The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), an agency of the United States Department of Commerce, publishes News Releases on a variety of topics including manufacturing and trade inventories, personal income, U.S. International transactions, GNP, composite indexes of leading indicators, corporate profits, and the federal debt. The BEA was established January 1, 1972. News Releases preceding this date were produced by the United States Department of Commerce, Office of Business Economics (OBE).
