New Reserve Account Statement
DETAILS
This is a reminder t h a t the p a r a l l e l t e s t i n g period fo r the old and
new Reserve Account Statements will be discontinued as o f November 15, 1985.
The t e s t i n g period provided by the Dallas Fed was designed to have users
become completely f a m i l i a r with the new format in which the statements will be
generated. Beginning November 18, only the new format will be produced d a i l y .
For those i n s t i t u t i o n s t h a t are members of the RESPONSE network, a
new code word has been assigned in the Generalized Advice System (GARS) f o r
Statement of Your Respondent and/or Correspondent's A c t i v i t y , i f any. You
will continue to use the code work ADDET to in q u ire on the Statement of
Account, which will only have your i n s t i t u t i o n ' s immediate a c t i v i t y and the
s u b to ta le d a c t i v i t y fo r a l l your respondents. I f you have respondent or
correspondent a c t i v i t y , the code word ADDRC should be used to view your
r e sp on d en t's immediate a c t i v i t y and/o r your immediate a c t i v i t y t h a t passes
through a correspondent.
Please note t h a t the deferred and f u t u re statement types were not
p r in te d during the October 22 to November 15 p a r a l l e l c y c l e , but w ill be
t e s t e d during a se p arate cycle t h a t w ill begin November 18 and continue
through December 15.
For those i n s t i t u t i o n s t h a t rece iv e the Fed Reconcilement Tape and
have not s u c c e s s f u l l y t e s t e d the new tape format, the old tape format will be
supported u n t i l such time t h a t a successful t e s t has been completed.
