F ederal reserve bank of DALLAS, TEXAS Dallas 75222 C i r c u l a r No. 7 3 - 1 5 6 Ju n e 2 7 , 1973 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT To All Banks in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: James 0. Russell, Chief Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, will retire on July 1, 19739 after having completed nearly 36 years of service with this Bank. Mr. Russell was employed by the Bank in 1937- He has served in various positions in the Examination Department since 1 9 ^ and was elected to the official position of Chief Examiner in 1959* It is a pleasure to announce that the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has made the following changes in the official staff of the Head Office, effective July 1, 1973: Charles A. Gore, Review Examiner at this Bank, has been promoted to the official position of Chief Examiner, replacing Mr. Russell. Mr. Gore has been with the Bank since 1938 and has served in various positions in the Examination Department since 19^-6. He holds a B.S. degree in commerce from Southern Methodist University. Millard E. Sweatt, Jr., Senior Attorney at this Bank, has been promoted to the official position of Assistant Counsel. Mr. Sweatt was employed by the Bank in 1970 as an attorney and was promoted to Senior Attorney in October of 1972. He holds a B.A. degree from Tulane University and a J.D. degree from the SMU School of Law. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1970.
