Part C-2 of the report as printed provides for a full statement of the reasons why, in the judgment of the financial institution reporting, the transactions exceed those commensurate with the legitimate and customary conduct of the business, industry, or profession of the person or organization concerned. The Treasury Department has requested us to advise you that it has waived the requirement of Part C-2. Accordingly, notwithstanding the provisions of the instructions and of the form, there will be no obligation on the part of financial institutions to furnish a statement of reasons called for under Part C-2 of Form TCR-1.
