o f the Second Federal Reserve D istrict;

We have been informed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta that,
effective January 1, 1970, checks drawn on all banks located in Georgia may
be cleared through the Federal Reserve System. This change has been made
possible by action of the 1969 Georgia State Legislature providing for par
clearance.
Until present check supplies are exhausted, checks will bear routing symbol
9064. Newly printed checks will bear routing symbol 612 (MICR encoded 0612)
and items printed with either of these numbers may be commingled with other
deferred-credit items in cash letters scheduled to arrive at the Federal Reserve
Bank of Atlanta on and after January 1, 1970.
