THE WHITE H O U S E
W A S HIN G T O N

March 25, 1948

Dear D r. Nourse;
I read your letter of the twenty-fourth with
a great deal of interest and I think you are
working in the right direction.
We must be very careful that the m ilitary
does not overstep the bounds from an economic
standpoint domestically. Most of them would
like to go back to a w ar footing - that is not
what we want.
