SOUND MQK T LEAGUE A NON-PROFIT NON-PARTISAN PATRIOTIC LEAGUE HAVING FOR ITS OBJECTIVE: The League proposes to hasten the end of this depression, relieve unemployment end restore values hy insisting that Congress authorize an adequate supply of sound money of equitable purchasing power. The League proposes to fight either deflation or inflation and will insist that Congress perform its constitutional duty to regulate the value of money, a privilege heretofore left in the hands of the privately owned Federal Reserve System and State banks. The Plan: 1. - The League will urge Congress to authorize the purchase of the twelve Reserve Banks and erect therefrom a CENTRAL RESERVE BANK. 2. - The League then proposes that Congress shall by legislative mandate direct the CENTRAL RESERVE BA?!K. to maintain at all times an adequate supply of sound money of equitable purchasing power. 3. - The League will request that all candidates for Congress answer "yesw or "no" to this plan and will give publicity to their replies. The Sound Money League is opposed to the CENTRAL RESERVE RANK entering into competition with private or commercial banks.
