Dear Jir:-

We resl.ectfully but earnestly nrotest against the location of regional banks as nromulgated and he

your reconsideration

of the matter .
The locat1n6 of nine regional banks

in the north-eastern

quarter of the United 3tates is a cruel iniqstice to the entire
southern half to which have been allotted only two banks t and
to the western half in which is located only one.
Yours truly,
Vicksbur6 Clearinb. ik)use Ass'n.,

Committee

Washington,D;O:
Dear Sir:wrie to state that we do no

understand how the

selection of our ReL;ional Reserve Dank could have been made
according to "the convenience and customary course of business:
Our perspective may be wrong, but it does seem to us that it
would better have servei the interests of our section and
the country generally to have placed a reserve bank at Now
Orleans, which is our first seaport, and, indeed, the second
seaport in the entire country.
lie write merely to voice a very strong protest- and to
say that such views and feelings as I have expressed are
very strong throughout this section* Is there any reasonable
explabation? Te should feel very much better if we could
be brought to see a reason*
Respectfully,

RESERVE BOARD HLE
