STATEMENT FOR THE PRESS

For immediate release

February 15, 1940

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve
System today announced the appointment of Mr. George 0.
Boomer, Vice President, Girdler Corporation, manufacturers
of freezing equipment, Louisville, Kentucky, as a director
of the Louisville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of
St. Louis for the unexpired portion of the three-year
term, ending December 11, 1942.
