STATEMENT FOR THE »RESS.
For release on Saturday morning,
January 1, 1921.
On Wednesday, December 29, 1920, the Federal
Reserve Board approved the a r t i c l e s of a s s o c i a t i o n and organization c e r t i f i c a t e of the Federal International Banking
Company, a corporation organized under the provisions of
Section 25(a) of the Federal Reserve Act, commonly known as
the "Edge Act".

The capital of t h i s corporation i s $7,000,000

and i t s home o f f i c e i s in New Orleans, Louisiana.

It i s

incorporated for the purpose of engaging in the business of
international or foreign banking or other international or
foreign financial operations.

Pending the issue of a f i n a l

permit to commence business the corporation has authority t o
exercise only those powers which are incidental and preliminary
to i t s organization.
