STATEMENT FOR THE PRESS
For immediate release

March 3, 1939.

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System
today announced the appointment of Alfred H. Williams, Dean of
the Wharton School of Finance, University of Pennsylvania,
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as a class "C" director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia for the unexpired portion of
the term ending December 31, 1941.
