Dear Sir: The Federal Reserve Board has given careful consideration to the r e p l i e s received from the Federal reserve agents i n response to i t s telegram of July 3, 1934, Trans. 2023, with regard to i n t e r e s t rates on time and savings deposits. On the "basis of the information received and i t s own study of the question, the Board has decided that no change should he made at the present time i n the maximum rate of i n t e r e s t of 3$ on time and savings deposits prescribed i n Regulation %.
