Dear S i r : In accordance with t h e procedure p r e v i o u s l y adopted by t h e Treasury Department, i n connection w i t h the c e r t i f i c a t i o n as t o payment by Federal Reserve Baaks t o t h e T r e a s u r e r of t h e United S t a t e s of amounts on account of f r a n c h i s e t a x , t h e Federal Reserve Board, a t t h e r e q u e s t of t h e Treasury Department, asks t h a t your a u d i t o r p r e p a r e a s t a t e ment of income and expenses covering t h e calender year 1$21, showing the manner i n which t h e amount due the United S t a t e s on account of f r a n c h i s e t a x was determined. I t i s requested t h a t when t h e statement has been prepared t h e following form of c e r t i f i c a t i o n be typed on i t s back, executed by your a u d i t or and countersigned by a s s n i o r e x e c u t i v e o f f i c e r .
