Dear Sir: In accordance with the Board's l e t t e r St. 1593> of November 22, 1920, there i s being forwarded to you today under separate cover a supply of revised Fonns 95, 9&, 97, and 97a for use i n reporting earnings, expenses and f i s c a l agency department disbursements during the calendar year 1921. Item "Transit Department Expense" has been eliminated from Form 9 6 for the reason that such expenses as now reported by the Federal Reserve Banks and Branches are not compiled in a uniform manner. Compilation of this information may therefore be discontinued u n t i l such time as d e f i n i t e instructions are issued by the Federal Reserve Board regarding the method to be followed in arriving at Transit Department expense.
