In accorddnce with request contained in your wire of ~ there are bein? sent you today_copies of the new .Federal Reserve telegrapn code, Numbers to inclusive, to be used in connection witn teleq,rams sent be~veen Federal Reserve Banks and between Federal Reserve Banks Gnd the Federal Reserve Board, effective July 1st. June 1his code wi11 supersede the A.B.A. code now being used by the Board and the Reserve Banks • and also a. la:rge mlmt?er of special code words which have been adopted from time to time by the System. Wherein the new code book does not provide substitutes for the miscellaneous code words in use between the Board and the Banks~ the present code words will reZIJQ.in in effect. ~he Board bas been supplied with a number of alphabeti- · cal code words to be added to each page in the new code book, and as it is necessary from time to time to n:ake additions to the coded phrases. the Board will rake use of such words and advise the Federal Reserve B~ of the additions to their code books ..
