Dear Sir: Pending action by the Federal Reserve Banks on the report of the Committee designated by the last conference of Governors with the Federal Reserve Board1 held in Washington April 7th to lOth inclusive 1 to study the question of issue and redemption of new currency 1 the Federal Reserve Board requests each Federal Reser1e Bank to render to the Board a monthly report on the enclosed blank form1 (supply of which is being mailed to you today under separate cover) 1 commencing August 28th. The first report should cover currency operations of the four week period ending at the close of business September 24th .. The Board desires a separate report covering the operations of each kind of paper currency1 and-a blank has beon provided in the upper right hand corner of the report for the designation of the kind of currency which the report covers.
