Dear S i r : As you w i l l n o t e from t h e annual r e p o r t s of t h e F e d e r a l Beserve Board, i t has been our p r a c t i c e f o r a number of y e a r s t o p u b l i s h f i g u r e s of d e b i t s t o i n d i v i d u a l accounts by months . In o b t a i n i n g t h e monthly f i g u r e s we have t r e a t e d each week as cons i s t i n g of s i x b u s i n e s s days u n l e s s i t included a day g e n e r a l l y observed throughout t h e c o u n t r y as a h o l i d a y , in which c a s e i t has been t r e a t e d as c o n s i s t i n g of f i v e b u s i n e s s days only.
