Dear Sir:- • There. are enclosed herewith 300 blJ.llk forms (which hJ.ve been ~ppr.oved by the Commissioner of Internal Reverue) fQr use by Federal Reserve B~r~s in claiming exemption, under the provisions of Section 7 of the Federal Reserve Act, from Federil t~x imposed upon telegraph :tnd telephone service by Section 500 of the R0venue Act of 1918, These forms, ·:.rhen properly filled out, ·Ifill entitle your Bank to exemption from th~ Federal tax on all telebraph ~nd telephone service rendered to it, including leased wire telegraph and telephone service, indivi.dua.l t.elegraph and long distance telephone messages, and local tel.ephone service, providing, of course, that the ch~rges h~ve been incurred in the·performance of the official du~ies of your B:::.nk and ~re to be paid by it.
