S1r:

The suppl1 of the Second Edition of the Index-Digest of the Federal
Reserve Act and Anandments is exhausted1 with the exception of a dozen
copies, a.nd the trenendoua congestion of war work a.t the Gove:rmr.ent Printing Offiee rrakes it very unlikely that a reprint <>f this book could be
obtained without a delay of seYeral months.

It1 therefore#

bec~es

necessary

for the Board to announce that no further orders can ba filled. 1\lrthermore,
it is felt tha.t the twelve copie.s nOJV on hand will not be. a sufficient nl:IZllbar for the Board's own use in the future.

It has been suggested that per-

haps son:e of the Federal reserve banks have a surplus -of these Digests on
hand which they have not disposed of or do not need, and the purpose of this
letter is to inquire whether your b-:lnk has any copies which could be returned
to the Board for its use.
to the

Board~ billing

If such is the case will you kindly forward_ them

them to the Board

for this purpose are herewith inclosed).
